I don’t know anything about the trumpet but I looked this up cause I was curious. How are E and A both fingered 1 and 2? I imagine it has something to do with the slide at the bottom but I didn’t see it move between E and High A

Yes. I was an avid player, my horn was stolen when I was in law school in 1993. Devastating. I just bought a new horn 1 month ago. It was frustrating as I just trued to play licks like I used to. Then I bought the book "I used to play trumpet " slowly working the notes and the scales. PLUS I come to this page to hear notes. I love this channel!!!

For some of us, we have no choice but to tuck our bottom lip over. I have an overbite so a normal embouchere is sprt of impossible for me. Yes, my horn angle is very low, but i can fix it with a brnt mouthpiece. I am still able to produce a good sound.

I think the challenge of this song comes down to portraying the actual lyrics behind each note, I hear this song a lot more in ballads where instruments and vocalists can really exercise their tone and sound to put emotion to what the song is actually about. But yknow if ur just here for the good vibes and not really tryna tell that kind of story, you don’t have to, the way you played is as right as any other ✨✨
